Last Wave of Summer

Watching August pass quickly, it isn’t the warmth that I will miss as much as the stretch of daylight hours in which to paint.  Already, the slant of light is increasing and soon the humid, luminescent air will be replaced by dry, crisp air with its heartless shadows. These are my two last wave paintings of the summer – my wave of goodbye to the light I love best.
