TM8228 Symphony for a Disappearing Horizon 36x48 oil on panel

Sometimes nature presents a day for taking a big breath and letting it out with a sigh of pleasure. Symphony for a Disappearing Horizon was inspired by such a day – fresh air, a gentle wind, and the sun playing hide and seek with a fog bank off shore. The musicality of water, and the sense of unlimited space and time, also inspired the title, as if a hidden composer were orchestrating the elements with virtuosic splendor. Some days still fill me with wonder. Enjoy!
