TM8278 At Dawn 16×16 oil on panel

Yes, there is a reason to rise at dawn, and for me it’s because the fog softens the atmosphere and color on Campobello, making the gold lichens seem like the only spots of color on earth.  Shortly, the fog bank will vanish, the shadows will become sharp, the tide will rise and nearly cover this outcrop, and, with many photos and notes in hand, I’ll head home for breakfast and coffee in the warm sun.
