The colors of autumn insist on display, so the new series continues with a group of paintings with views along a river. Ode to a Yellow Tree is from a field trip I took with my students, and depicts a particularly lovely, though unassuming, yellow tree dipping its way into the Blackstone River. Enjoy!
Autumn trees seem to me like insistent children calling us to look at their colorful Halloween costumes. Unlike children, however, their call never gets tiresome. Beautiful painting!
I have to agree, they do seem insistent. And I’m happy to oblige. Thank you for the feedback!
