Parallel Universe #2 – Three windows, three views.
On the left, a nebula with stars – some close and some in the deeper distance. The constellations are evidence of human kind’s own distant past, that time when the night was still dark, navigation demanded a strong memory for knowing the positions of stars, and the collective imagination saw gods and spirits throughout the natural world.
In the center, a darker, and perhaps emptier space. Only a deep red ghost and the blur of movement in time-lapse.
On the right, is it water or a nebula, or why not both? Since structures in the universe are determined by physics, similar forms often reveal themselves in both the telescope and the microscope. In the Parallel Universe paintings, these phenomena are spliced together, resulting in compositions that highlight the recurrence of forms. Enjoy!
