Occasionally I like to work on a smaller scale. It allows me to try new compositions and colors, or figure out different ways to approach a familiar subject. Usually I work on specially primed rag paper. The advantage of the small format is its immediacy – results can be obtained quickly, and if it doesn’t work, so what? Try again. I think of these as little paintings and finished studies.
I will be posting more of these little guys as they are finished. You can also find them at the 6×6″ oil on paper portfolio page. Inquires about purchasing them should be directed to Powers Gallery in Acton, MA. USA 978-263-5105.
