I’ve been revisiting the pond almost daily, watching the greens disappear only to be replaced with golden tones which, in turn, seem to usher in a new range of reds. russets, and mellow violets. So much color and so little time! I decided to try painting the transitional moment when golden light starts to illuminate the red-tinged understory. Besides, I love the complexity of tangles where woodland swamp opens up to a glimpse of sky and reflecting water. Enjoy!
Beautifully captured!
Thank you Margaret – if anyone knows the fall landscape, it’s you!
complexity of tangles, great description!
It’s funny how something can look so complicated, but once you start taking it apart a layer at a time it makes sense.
