After painting Path to the Pond with its trees and shrubs, I had to find another excuse to play with vegetation textures. A summer view across the pond, looking toward the far bank and wetland, was the perfect answer. This painting continues my exploration of the pond bursting with life. By early summer duckweed is taking over and lily pads are crowding out everything else. The next chapter will be all about ducks. Below are close-up views of details from Summer Morning at the Pond. Enjoy!
Such a lovely series!!
Thank you Mary Jane, and especially thank you for all your help with writing. Every visual artist needs a poet friend.
