The crash and roar of breaking waves is hypnotic, but the silence when a wave is building is what I listen for and watch. The implied compressed energy, the glow of light within, the delicate ridge of oxygenated water and sparkle – it all fascinates me. I find myself holding my breath as I wait for the break. Listen is that moment. It is also a reminder of the focused waiting that occurs in every life, and about savoring the best of the here and now, being present, witnessing. Detail below. Enjoy.
Again, you capture the essence and beauty of this salty body of water as it dances towards us – love it!
Thank you, Kathy!
You captured that moment perfectly. I like the way the waves further out echo that moment. I can almost feel their rise and fall.
Thank you. It is fun to look for the relationships and echoes in the water and sky.
I can relate to your love of the movement of water! Really nice work.
Thank you Brian. The water can be so abstract, like multiplying moire patterns – what’s not to love!
