This “portrait” of the woodland environment is entirely based on a long look into a puddle layered with reflections – clouds, ferns, trees and their shadows. It’s a pensive piece, quiet but intense. The abstract, brocade-like quality of what I saw was, at first, intimidating, but figuring it out one step at a time proved thoroughly enjoyable. I love the way the whole environment is caught in such a small, intimate space. Seven years start to finish. Brief compared to the years the forest spent growing it. Details below. Enjoy.
