Two more little babies from the Deep Snow series, which could also be called a walk in the woods. These two are based on winter walks at Purgatory Chasm. Not an easy hike, but so worth it, especially with fresh snow and sunshine. Enjoy!
Deep Snow smothers the landscape in white, and if the sun comes out the blue and violet shadows are magnificent. Everything feels so pristine, so new. I did a quartet of small paintings after one storm, and present the first two here, more tomorrow. All of them are based on a hike into Hamlen Woods, one of my favorite places. Enjoy.
